Because, after Microblading, your face will look more defined, fresh and rejuvenated. Not only will you look fantastic with perfect eyebrows you will feel fabulous too!
How does Microblading work?
First, we consult with you about your wishes and evaluate the current condition of your eyebrows. To maximize comfort, an anesthetic cream is applied. We then go over your informed consent and after care instructions (This typically takes about 20 minutes.), then some initial mock-up drawings are made. Revisions are made until you are fully satisfied with the results. We match the color of the pigment we'll use in the microblading process with your hair color and skin tone. The treatment is virtually painless, and the redness should disappear.*
How long does Microblading last?
Depending on your individual skin type, the results of microblading can last anywhere from 6-18 months.* If no touch ups are performed within the 18-24 month period, the pigment will fade away.* The durability of the pigment depends mostly on your lifestyle and skin type. Factors that can affect the longevity of microblading include exposure to the sun, cosmetic procedures, oily skin etc.* About a month to 45 days after your first treatment, it is crucial that you come in for a perfecting touch-up appointment. (Remember: if your touch-up is not performed after your initial visit, your results will fade away and sometimes appear uneven, your touch up appointment after your initial treatment is necessary to ensure lasting results.)
We recommend additional touch-up once a year. This is encouraged in order to retain the saturation of pigment.
How safe is Microblading?
We use organic and inorganic based pigments for all of our microblading treatments. The pigments are rigorously tested to meet FDA regulations. This gives you the ultimate confidence and assurance that we are using only the BEST microblading products! Our pigments meet the criteria for the strictest and safest levels of sterility, heavy metals and aromatic amines (non-toxic and hypoallergenic mineral pigments).
A single use, newly opened, sterile blade is used for each client.
We meet the strictest hygiene standards in compliance with all relevant legislative requirements.
Should anyone avoid Microblading?
Yes. Some circumstances exist that would prevent a person from being able to undergo a microblading procedure. These include:
Women who are pregnant or nursing (doctors approval must be given if nursing)
Individuals who are insulin dependent diabetics
Patients currently undergoing Chemotherapy (this circumstance may vary and you will need to first consult with your doctor)
Individuals with viral infections and/or diseases
People with epilepsy
Individuals with a Pacemaker or those with major heart problems
Anyone who has had an organ transplant
People who experience skin irritations or have Psoriasis near the treated area (as well as those with rashes, sunburn, acne, etc.)
Individuals who are sick (cold, flu, etc.)
Anyone who has had Botox in the past 30 days (dependent on client)
People who have used Accutane in the past year
How should you prepare for Microblading?
Prior to your microblading procedure, we recommend taking the following precautions:
*Don't use a tanning bed or allow your face to be sunburned.
*Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or IBUprofen 24 hours before your procedure.
*No alcohol within 24 hours of your treatment.
*No waxing or tinting 3 days before your treatment.
*Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
It is important to apply recommended cream to the treated area once per day for the first 3 days. Keeping the area dry and is vital to color retention.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure. If you must be out in the sun at all, wear a hat and lots of sunscreen (only if your eyebrows are done peeling, usually 5-7 days post treatment).
Keep water away from your eyebrows for at least 72 hours. After 72 hours, wash your eyebrows with cotton pad/towel (twice per day ).
Avoid using moisturizers, exfoliates, or harsh cleansers on your eyebrows during the healing process. You can immediately resume normal activities. However, we recommend that you delay heavy exercise for approximately two to three days following the procedure.
Your procedure will begin to oxidize immediately and throughout the first 3-4 days. This may cause pigment to become darker. Do not be alarmed, this dark color will flake off or fade back to the initial color that was implanted (during the 1st five minutes of your procedure).
Do not pick any scabs or dry areas that may form during your healing process. Doing so may cause you to lose color or cause damage to your skin. Instead, apply the recommended ointment your technician provided for you following your treatment.
Over the next two to three weeks, the pigment intensity lightens by up to 50%. Ensure you have scheduled your touch up appointment. Remember, microblading is a 2 stage treatment. Your second appointment is to make sure faded areas are touched up and everything is healing properly.
It is VITAL that you follow all aftercare instructions to ensure your eyebrows heal properly.
